The Aquila Apron is the latest addition to our range of Soft Personal Protective Equipment. It is manufactured to provide a protective level according to NATO STANAG 2920 of V50 = 450 m/s.
Field trials showed that: the equipment protects against exploding A/P-mines, but is easy in use, has no influence on the mobility, and the deminer is n t very affected by the temperature.

A wipe-clean outer cover covers the multi layer Kevlar® fabric inner core. The apron is held on the body by heavy-duty webbing and quick release clips. (No Velcro® is used)
The inner core is layered and stitched in a manner that allows the armor to be extremely soft and pliable, maximizing user comfort.
The collar and groin flanges are attached to the main ballistic core using an interleaved stitching method to ensure that the likelihood of separation during a blast is minimised.

The apron can be supplied with a purpose-designed bag.
